FOUNDER & CEO

"Cancer entered my life when I was just 29, an age filled with dreams, not nightmares. It blindsided me, leaving me grappling with the urgency of health advocacy. A year of waiting turned into a stage 4 breast cancer diagnosis in 2019, and my world crumbled.

Yes, I had the love and support of my family and close friends, but I needed something more. In the face of this relentless foe, I was struck by the harsh reality that I hadn't just been fighting for my health; I'd been fighting alone. Amidst the chaos of treatments, appointments, and uncertainty, I found myself longing for more than just medical care. I craved understanding, support, and the reassuring hand of someone who had walked this path before.

It was during my darkest moments that I realized my purpose extended far beyond my own survival. It was a calling to ensure that no other woman, child, or family would endure the isolation and despair that had become my constant companion.

From this place of shared suffering and empathy, Fighting Cancer Today was born. It's a testament to the resilience of the human spirit, the warmth of community, and the unwavering strength we find when we stand together.

MEET OUR TEAM

Board of Directors

Our organization consists of a team of cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers. Through our experiences and the shared experiences of others, we saw the need for additional support after leaving the cancer treatment center for both the patient and the caregiver. We saw the importance of supporting the entire community of the cancer patient. Fighting Cancer Today was created to bridge the gap between the treatment patients receive versus the support needed when home.
